A Little Diddy to Say Thanks….

My guy after his Lacrosse game. He was so wiped he didn’t even make it past the couch before he was asleep. Shhh….those of you who know him, don’t tell him I put this pic up.

I feel full of gratitude. Many of you emailed me or called me or sent “get well soon” wishes & prayers over the virtual highway for my 12-year-old, and I can’t thank you enough. I am happy to report that he is recovered….although, let me take a moment to knock on wood…knock, knock, knock.

Of course, after his bout with the breathing/coughing issue (perhaps the most frightening ordeal I’ve ever dealt with in regards to my children,) he was slammed with the flu and I felt bad for the guy. I really did. But, c’mon…how much longer is this kid going to be sick? The Rooster started calling him “Bueller” and I tried not to laugh. Poor kid.

Speaking of The Rooster, I know he prefers his privacy and doesn’t particularly like me to gush all over him in this public forum, but I have to give a shout out to my main man. He is truly an amazing father and husband. I feel elated when I think of the example he is setting for his children of how to be a parent and go through life in a partnership with another person, i.e. moi. “Thank you, Señor, for all that you do for us!” xoxo

And, I want to thank each and every one of you who visit and read La Pomme. I know it’s not for everyone, and I know that not every post is incredibly inspiring, but just that fact that you spend some of your precious time here means so much to me. Thank you….truly. I’ll be back later in the week with some exciting news that would not have been possible without you.

PS: I keep forgetting to post these videos, but since some of you kind people (Thanks, Mom…xo)  like to enable my delusions of “cooking show personality” by requesting that I put them up, here is the latest one. See if you can spot the part in the video where I become preoccupied with avoiding a potential “wardrobe malfunction.” Enjoy…

  1. Hip-hip-hurray for Jack. And a double hip-hip for the Rooster!

Thanks Carrie for sharing! I truly look forward to your blog and trying the delicious (and usually easy) recipes!
